Friday Club 12 – 2pm
During school term this is for children under 5 – siblings are warmly welcomed. We provide a good variety of toys and equipment for babies, toddlers and pre-school children.
We also run our Holiday club on Fridays outwith term time for multiples and their siblings of all ages.
Fundraising over the years
As a registered charity we rely almost entirely on fund raising. Over the years we have staged such events as a pop quiz for the adults, a car boot sale, a sponsored assault course for the children, a sponsored walk around James Hamilton Heritage Park, various quizzes and Karaoke Evenings. Last year’s Christmans Raffle raised a fantastic £456 for the club. Four of our mums recently ran 10k of the Scottish Run and have raised over £400 for the club. Well done ladies!
If any of our members have any ideas for raising funds for the club please contact one of the committee members, Aileen, Chrissie or Sam. Alternatively, feel free to drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
We always try to make club days extra special at Halloween and Easter, organising fancy dress events, games and treats as well as special activities for the older children.
When funds allow, we arrange a summer trip for all our club families and over the years they proven to a huge success! Last year we went to Almond Valley Heritage Park and the year before we went to Pirate Pete’s in Ayr.
A few red balloons, some face painting and valentines card making keeps the kids amused at this time of year.
The club is closed on Easter Friday but the Friday Club before or after is chosen as the date for our Easter Party. All the kids dress up in green, yellow or fancy dress and then enjoy 2 hrs of games, easter crafts and party food. Some very tired, but happy little bunnies, chicks and little lambs go home after this event!
The club often hires out the Burnbank Centre in Hamilton so all our kids can get exclusive use of soft play and eating facilities in a safe and enclosed environment. This is always a popular event and always sees a good turnout from the families as its usually held on a Saturday morning.
Every now and then we like to celebrate just being special and have Dressing Up Days for the kids. Face painting and trying on different costumes certainly entertains!
This is one of our biggest events of the year. Its held the second sunday of December (weather permitting!). Santa pays a surprise visit and gives all the kids a present (which the parents bring). Again party clothes or dressing up is always fun for the kids. We do a Christmas Raffle, party food and lots of fun games for the kids. There is always a great turnout for this event with countless kids, mums, dads, grans and grandpas all of whom help to make the day such a huge success every year!! Special thanks to everyone who gets directly involved helping out and to those who offer ideas for the parties each year!
